Executive Chef / Specialize In Italian Cuisine
Originally from Jalisco, Mexico, Luis Corona came to the United States in 2002 with a dream to work in the food industry. His first job in this country was washing dishes at Cancun Grill at the young age of 17.
After two months, he was promoted to line cook where his passion for the kitchen was ignited. He caught the attention of the owner, Martin Cardenas, who saw immense potential in the hard working young man.
When Italy Today was established in 2004, Luis joined the culinary team as a line cook and quickly worked his way up to become the Executive Chef. He never ceases to impress with his creative and spontaneous approach to cuisine. Hungry for knowledge, Luis constantly challenges himself to learn as much as he can from books, documentaries, other chefs and his mentor, Martin Cardenas.
He works hand in hand with Cardenas on all Crazy Fork Catering Events, personalizing each dish to the specific event. His passion speaks loudly through his food with unique and expressive flavors.
